Olah foodies, this week, just like the other couple of weeks, we delve into the world of food and more importantly, what you eat on a daily basis. The thing is, is it healthy? "what's that your putting in mouth" a question popularly asked by mothers to their young kids. Roles reversed, you adult, what's that your putting in your mouth, is it healthy or will it bring you a lifestyle disease or two in the years to come. I personally believe this is the one question each and every person should ask themselves before endulging in any meal.
I know most of us say that it's only once in a while but is it really? Trust me, that once in a while turns into once a month, then twice then once a week, then twice and before you realize it, it's become part of your routine. You also need to remember that you may tell us your doing this and that but at the end of the day, it all reflects on your skin and we shall know whether indeed you we're doing what you claimed to be doing. Most of you wonder why this models you see in magazines and blogs have such clear skin and good body's and because we don't want to give credit where it is due, we often align it with plastic surgery and the fact that they can afford dermatologists. Well, in all honesty, they are just very cautious about what they eat because they know that body and/or fave is their source of income and thus have to be very careful about how they treat those parts, kind of how you strive to get to work on time so as not to piss off your boss and avoid the risk of getting fired. Here's a few pointers a picked up along the healthy eating journey. Please note that it is not 100% guaranteed that what worked for me will work for you.
1; Make water your friend. Hydration plays an important role in open up your pores through sweating and also flushing out toxins in your body that mainly manifest through pimples. Incase your not a water person, try spice up your water game by maybe infusing your favorite fruit in your water bottle thus giving you that extra nudge to take water.
2; Ladies, try as much a possible to do a simple make up look that requires less skin manipulation. This way, your face gets a chance to breath while at the same time you get to feel pretty. Don't sleep with make up as it clogs up your pores thus leading to skin breakout.
3: Veggies play an important role in skin cell formation. Makes things like cucumber, aubergine and the likes your best buddies. Things that you can easily snack on whether in the house or on the go. They really help.
4: Unless you have really dry skin, avoid applying moisturizer while going to bed. Give your skin this time to breath and if it's a must, the be doing it while skipping a day or two. Give your skin time to breath and heal.
5; Know the products that work for you. Just because you saw a certain influencer using a certain product and it worked for them doesn't mean it'll have the same results on you. We have different skin profiles soo do your research, understand your skin type and work towards improving its quality.
6; Watch what you eat, it reflects on your skin.
Lastly, healing and skin clearing is a process. It just does not happen over night soo please, this imagination that people have that they will start the regimen today and voulah, tomorrow they have crystal clear skin is a scam. Trust the process! That's it for today hunnies, until next time remember to stay safe, eat some good food and mind about your health Let's be friends INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/rogzys_kitchen
