INGREDIENTS

400 grams steak mince meat 1 Tablespoon of paprika 1 Tablespoon of oregano 2 Tablespoons of soy sauce 1 Tablespoon of curry powder 1 Tablespoon of thyme 4 Cloves of garlic, chopped 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice/vinegar 1 Medium onion chopped 1 Tablespoon of mint 1 Tablespoon of mixed herbs 1 Tablespoon of olive oil 2 Medium sized buns 4 Lettuce leaves 1 Cucumber, chopped in rounds 200 Grams of cheddar/burger cheese 1 Egg, beaten 2 Ripe tomatoes METHOD. Place the meat in a plastic/glass bowl add the mincemeat, oregano, thyme, olive oil, garlic, mixed herbs, mint, onion, curry powder, soy sauce, lemon juice, paprika and mix well together. Marinate in the fridge for a minimum of 45 minutes but for best results marinate for 24 hours after which you add the broken egg and mix until well incorporated. Form ball like making meatballs but for this procedure flatten them so as to form a sort of a flat ball/patties. Place the patties on a hot grill or chapatti/flat bread pan and grill for 5 minutes or until golden brown then carefully flip on the other side making sure that they are ready but don’t lose its juice. Once ready, place the cheese on top of the patties to melt using heat then once melted, remove and char the buns on the grill to give them color on the inside. Now let’s assemble, place the lower bun at the bottom then line it with the cucumber then the lettuce then the beef patties then tomato rings then the top bun. Note that during this build up process you can add anything to this tower…it’s all up to you and your personal favorites. Serve them hoot!!!!!
