Are you tired of having to buy mayonnaise In order for you to make some homemade coleslaw, well, lemme help you out.
INGREDIENTS. 1 egg yolk 1 Teaspoon of black or white pepper 1 Teaspoon of mustard Cooking oil. 1 cap full of white vinegar METHOD. 1: In a glass bowl, add the egg yolk. Please note you'll need to use a glass bowl because a metallic one will tarnish the mayonnaise due to the vinegar. 2: In no specific order, add the other ingredients to the bowl except the oil,that goes in last. You can use a metallic whisk or if you have a hand mixer, the better and less tiresome for you. 3: Mix well until everything is incorporated. Now in intervals of drips, add your oil as you whisk. Please note the direction you start with you can't change in the middle, your mayonnaise will curd. 4: Whisk as you add your oil. As you progress you'll note that the more oil you add, the colour changes from Yellow to white. 5: Once the colour changes to a consistent white, stop adding your oil. Your mayo is done. You can store your mayo. In the same bowl of a different bowl refrigerated for not more than 3 days. 6: To make coleslaw, add the shredded cabbage and carrot and mix until well covered. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar and voilah! There you have your coleslaw at home. Easy, right? Happy cooking guys The YouTube video is up on my YouTube channel.
